"THANK YOU ABS-CBN for changing my life..." -Kira

.Young Kapamilya star Kira Balinger expressed how grateful she is to ABS-CBN despite everyone's grief over the 'death' of its franchise which occured on Friday, July 10.

In an Instagram post on Saturday, Kira recalled her journey with the Kapamilya network

"6 years with you. Not as long as the others but those were the most important and meaningful years of my life. Before I entered the industry I was just this young girl who didn’t know how to speak tagalog, who didn’t have much talents and had no confidence at all. I remember watching ASAP every Sunday and wishing that I could be lucky enough to meet the stars one day. I remember watching teleseryes and not being able to understand what they were saying, and have my mom translate for me in between commercial breaks," she shared.

As she continued, Kira reminisced about the first ever teleserye role she got.

"And then the day came where I was discovered. After a few years in several tagalog, acting and dance workshops, i landed a role for a teleserye that changed my life – The Story of Us. Being able to act alongside such great actors/actresses was an experience I’ll never forget!" She wrote.

"Then came the performing scene. From a young girl admiring them through the tv screen, to being a member of a girl group on ASAP – BFF5. From there on, I found myself on billboards and various magazine covers with my fellow artists," Kira added.

For her, these are just a few of the many wonderful opportunities that ABS-CBN is able to give.

"There’s so much more that I would like to share, but to cut it short I just want to say, THANK YOU ABS-CBN for changing my life, for making me believe in myself, and for making my dreams come true. Forever grateful for everything," she stated.
